Dear Tom,
Hear we go again.Three years into another losing war.Remeber the five p,s. Prior planning prevents poor performance. We never learn. This President is D.O.A mentally.I wonder what you would have thought about this new war if you had come home and had a family and grandchildren.
Rest well on another Memorial Day Tom.

Remembered Still
Tom,
While not having met you, I'm honored to have known your parents and sister, my classmate at GF Central. For Dr. and Mrs. Alderson, and for Janie, we wept with you that dreary October day of Tom's funeral, and I will always remember the grace your family displayed during such a tragedy. May God continue to comfort you even after all these years. Tom, you had the courage to do what many others of my generation were not willing to do, and I thank you for your sacrifice for all of us.
