do not stand at my grave and weep.....

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there. I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow.
I am the diamond glints on snow.
I am the sunlight on ripened grain.
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry;
I am not there. I did not die.

The Traveling Wall

Walter was my great uncle and I attended his funeral at Arlington when I was ten. I had the honor of escorting the traveling wall from Ozark, AL to Dothan, AL yesterday.

Thank You

Dear Tsgt Walter Vail, Thank you for your service with the 3rd Combat Engineer Squadron. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is the anniversary of 9/11. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
