Always Remembered

Billy, you left us too soon. I wonder what might have been. You were a budding cartoonist. We were two weeks apart in age and until the age of 7 and a half we grew up together you living in Cherry Valley and me in Azusa. You always have a place in my heart.

Thank You

Dear PFC William Ullmer, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Labor Day was yesterday. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

Both born on 2/19/1949 you, too, would be 72 now.

Your Book Brother

I bought a magazine titled Post of the Corps with you name in your handwriting in the inside cover. The date is July 1963. I would like to return to your family. Any help to achieve this goal is appreciated.
