Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from David Gibson is especially poignant. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

Specialist Four James Gregory Brady, Served with the 187th Assault Helicopter Company, 269th Aviation Battalion, 12th Aviation Group, 1st Aviation Brigade, United States Army Vietnam.

James and I entered the Army the same day and our US numbers were only 3 digits off. In basic we decided to go for another year and seek a different MOS.. He and I marched together at Ft Lewis over to sign up.. I attended one friends funeral while on leave in 1968 that was killed in Nam. Then I went over there within a few weeks.. RVN 6/1968 9/1970.. Decades later I was searching for old friends from Basic etc and found out about James... Now he is forever young.... and I am an old man recalling memories from long ago..

THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A FLIGHT QUALIFIED HUEY, UH-1 HELICOPTER REPAIRER. TODAY WAS ONCE CALLED DECORATION DAY, THEN BECAME MEMORIAL DAY, BUT ON ALL DAYS WE SHOULD HONOR YOU. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.
