Casualty at Sea
On July 7, 1967, MM2 James F. Tritt was a crewmember aboard the USS Bon Homme Richard operating in the Gulf of Tonkin. He was last seen on the fantail by other crew members. At 1000 hours the following day his absence was definitely established. An extensive search was conducted but failed to find any signs of MM2 Tritt. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
