He was my older brother

Dear Albert,

A day does not go by that I don't think about you.

The day they came to tell us that you were killed, is the day part of us died.

I always ask myself, the "What if" question,

And wonder what kind of life you would of had, How many kids, etc.. You were a good son and brother who always looked after us, little ones.

I miss you, like you wouldn't believe, but I know in my heart we will see each other again.

To Albert

Dear Brother,
What a hole was left in our lives and our hearts when you were taken from us. Our family has never recovered from the loss - the years go by but the pain is always there.
We miss you everyday.
I continue to look after the younger ones like I promised you when you left for Viet Nam. I do it for you...

The Fastest

I went to elementary and high school with Albert. He was the fastest runner in our class. He lived next door to my good friend Jerry Brown on Travis St. we played together as youths and Albert was a great guy.
I served in the Army, Danang, Vietnam '71.
