Happy Birthday Cy

You spent 10 months in Vietnam as a grunt, which I salute you.
Your friends and family sure showed their love for you.

honoring you.....

War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

Cy Townley

I can recall you as a very kind person. When we were at Zion Lutheran Church, you would talk to me, and treat me not like some pesky little kid, unlike my brother. I looked up to you and silently hoped that you would be able to leave the service after recovering from malaria. I remember the horrible day it was announced at church of your passing, and the collective gasp of everyone in the pews. It brings tears to my eyes even now. Thank you for your incredible service and sacrifice. You will not be forgotten. May the Lord forever fold you in his loving arms and grant your family peace.

Thank You

Dear Lcpl Cyril Townley, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Agent Orange Awareness Month. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.
