Never Forgotten

I received a gift over 20 years ago from my sister and it was a silver bracelet that was inscribed with the name Sgt Larry R. Todd. Although I had no relation to Sgt Todd, I wore the bracelet every single day. I joined the Air Force and continued wearing it throughout my entire tenure. Every deployment I was on, it became my solace and security blanket. Now I am retired and proudly still wearing the bracelet as I type this. I will continue to wear it for as long as I live. The sacrifice that Sgt Todd made to his country, the blanket of freedom that we ALL share as a nation would not be possible without brave and selfless people like him. I salute him, his family, and all the heroes who laid down their lives for all of us. My you rest in peace, my brother.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SGT Larry Richard Todd, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
