Hi Doc, it's me

Hi Doc

It’s me Red.

I will never forget you Danny. We were best buddies and we shared the same mud, fox holes and dreams and couldn’t wait to get back to “The World.”

I remember coming back to the outfit after being wounded on Hill 190 on April 6th and finding out that you had been transferred to another platoon. I got on the horn and you told me “See you in the morning.”

Well, we both know that didn’t happen. I felt so guilty that day about what had happened. There are a lot of “What Ifs” in life and that is one that I wish I could change. But it was not to be.

To this day I keep your photo on my desk. The one I took of you on while resting on the trail up in the DMZ.

And Danny, you will never be forgotten. At the reunions I have put together other Marines and Corpsmen remember you, “Doc Holiday.”

So Danny I hope you have forgiven me…I still miss you brother.

To my former brother in law

Danny I never got to meet you, but your brother Ronnie and I were married for many yrs and your name came up often. Jack looks almost identical to you, bout close as a twin.
A good friend told me about this site, and he is getting a "rubbing" of your name so I can give it to Ronnie.
Thank you for giving your life to save our freedom...
I love you bro
