Fellow Pilot
I'm Ron Goff. I was a friend of Dave's at Ft. Riley, KS where we frolicked, during the summer of 67', before going to Vietnam. Dave let us drive his car during a weekend he went to Brodhead. As a surprise, we(his buddies)washed and waxed it for him. He was delighted. As I recall, it was a Thunderbird, but memory may be faulty.
My memories are growing dim after nearly forty years but one that remains bright, is Dave's perpetual smile. He was five years my senior. It's a damned shame that I'm now pushing sixty and Dave was cut down at 26. He would have made many more great contributions to his country. He and too many others are always held dearly in my heart.
As an aside, I crashed, inverted in a UH-1 gunship, in RVN on the same day David passed away(APR 5, 1968). Totaled the aircraft but we all walked away.
Rest in peace, my dear friend. I'll be along in just a little while now.

Thank You!
I just want to thank you for putting my cousin's photo up, now I know what he looked like, I never met him, he was taken 2 years prior to my birth, but we have never forgotten him, and never will. Monty Timm
