Lane A Tilson
Lane was my uncle that I never got to meet. My dad talks about him and says he was a gentle giant. I will get to meet him one day that’s for sure.

Thank You
Dear PFC Lane Tilson, Thank you for your service as a Field Artillery Basic. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Today is the 58th anniversary of the 2nd Gulf of Tonkin Incident. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I do not know you..................
I do not know you, we have never met . I have seen your grave marker on-line, and I have a rubbing of your name from the wall.
The only thing we have in common is we share the same surname.
whenever the travelling wall comes to my part of the country, I visit your name, and sometimes leave a small token. I have made it my task to adopt your name on the wall. Perhaps in both of our pasts we share a common ancestor. I would hope that is the case. Your service will never be forgotten .
