Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just three days after your 20th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Dear PFC Jose Tijerina, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Indirect Fire Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Tomorrow is the 58th anniversary of the 2nd Gulf of Tonkin Incident. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Dear PFC Jose B. Trevino, I am so thrilled that your picture has been found and posted. I have worked on the project, "Faces On The Wall", for four years, trying to find photos of the men who died in Vietnam who were from Edinburg or McAllen, TX. I tried to find your picture by looking in the McHi yearbook, Class of '65. There was a "Joe B. Trevino, but when I submitted his picture to a social network site for McAllen, I receive responses telling me that he was NOT the Jose B. Tijerina KIA in Vietnam, and nobody on that site could tell me anything about you. I am thrilled and humbled that Janna and Jim found your picture. I will use it to create a tribute to you for McAllen readers. You are not forgotten in the Rio Grande Valley!
