Bronze Star Medal for Valor Award
Staff Sergeant Carl Lee Thornton was awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Valor, with Combat Distinguishing Device (V), for his gallantry in action. He was also awarded the Bronze Star Medal for Merit for his sustained meritorious service. He served as a Food Service Specialist and was assigned to HHC, 1ST BN, 327TH INFANTRY, 101ST ABN DIV.
