Remembering An American Hero
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir
Curt Carter
Giving my thanks!
On this Veterans day we remember a hero in our family. My grandpa, Vernon Lastimado, loves telling stories about all the good times he shared with you. You are loved and in our hearts always! Thank you for sacrificing everything for our family! We remember.
Manakole
Larry was the fifth child of a family of 8 brothers and 3 sisters. His nickname was 'Boy'. The Alcos Family owned a pig farm, so he and his brothers fed the pigs to help the family business. Larry loved going camping and fishing with family and friends at a special beach called MANAKOLE. Larry's first car that he owned just before leaving for Vietnam was a white Nova. Larry was killed just three months before his 21st birthday. His family misses him dearly and know that Akua has a special place for him in heaven.
