Thank you Doc Buffalo

Hey Doc,
I just wanted to thank you for pulling me out of that hole the first time I got wounded and treating my wounds, giving me a cigarette to calm me down and bring me out of shock. And for making sure I was evacuated to the hospital under fire. I remember us talking about our girlfriends and how they cried when we left for the Nam. And how you wanted to get into cardiology when you got back to the world. I am so sorry you never got to live your life and your dreams. Your memory lives with me doc. You are a true American hero. I love you brother. Rest In Peace!

Remembering An American Hero

Dear HN James Weldon Thomas, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
