Missing you always

I have missed you every day of my life and would give anything for just one memory of you. I take comfort in knowing that my dad is waiting for me in heaven.

The Last Time

Larry woke me up that morning fifty-one years ago. They were about to leave on a day act and I was assigned to the base radio while he was assigned to the mobile radio and our commanding officer. We spoke several times that morning and were on the radio at the moment of the ambush. Rest in peace friend.

Remembered

DEAR SPEC 4 BOYER,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS A RADIO OPERATOR. TODAY IS THE ASCENSION, AND MANY CHRISTIANS ARE IN PRAYER. MEMORIAL DAY IS APPROACHING, BUT ON ALL DAYS WE SHOULD HONOR YOU. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.

Gone but Never Forgotten

His home town is not Carmi, it is West Frankfort. And I can not say thank you enough to the person who posted the picture. I have never seen it before. So Thank You so much.

I never got the chance to know my father but I can tell you he is loved and very much missed. But I know one day I will see him again.
