I have missed you every day of my life and would give anything for just one memory of you. I take comfort in knowing that my dad is waiting for me in heaven.

Larry woke me up that morning fifty-one years ago. They were about to leave on a day act and I was assigned to the base radio while he was assigned to the mobile radio and our commanding officer. We spoke several times that morning and were on the radio at the moment of the ambush. Rest in peace friend.

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. May you rest in eternal peace.

I never got the chance to know my father but I can tell you he is loved and very much missed. But I know one day I will see him again.
