He loved his Corvair
I attended Riverside City College with Don. He showed me his Chevy Corvair in 1965 shortly before I dropped out and enlisted. Don was a kind, warm, gentle human. I visited Don's grave on Point Loma.

Still in my heart after all these years.
Donnie,
The last time I saw you was the day before you left to serve our country. We planned to get together as soon as you were back in Riverside.
What a beautiful person you were. I think of you often. I have visited the Memorial Wall to see your name. Rest in peace knowing you are still missed.
Love, Susan

Remembered
DEAR SPEC 4 BOYER,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN INFANTRYMAN. TODAY IS THE ASCENSION, AND MANY CHRISTIANS ARE IN PRAYER. MEMORIAL DAY IS APPROACHING, BUT ON ALL DAYS WE SHOULD HONOR YOU. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.
