honoring you.....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. While all deaths in Vietnam are tragic that you died just two days before your 20th birthday is especially so. May you rest in eternal peace.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Harry Theriault, Thank you for your service as a Light Air Defense Artillery Crewmember. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Independence Day just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Remembering a Hometown Hero

I was only 11 yrs old when you died, but you were from my hometown and I had 2 brothers in Vietnam at the time. My family knew you, I think, and It was so sad when my family heard that one of our hometown heroes had died, and we were so scared for our sons and brothers. My brothers made it home, I guess because of all those prayers. I am so sorry you never did. I now work in a VA hospital, and it is a deep Honor to serve all the Veterans now. Wish you were among them.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear CPL Harry Everett Theriault, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
