Today we honor the ultimate sacrifice that ROBERT LEE THANE made for this country. Rest in peace, you are not forgotten.

Although we never met personally, I want to thank you Robert Lee Thane, for your courageous and valiant service, faithful contribution, and your most holy sacrifice given to this great country of ours!

Your Spirit is alive--and strong, therefore Marine, you shall never be forgotten, nor has your death been in vain!

Dear Soldier,
I go to Gridley High School, in Gridley, IL. I am doing a class project in my APB (American Political Behavior) and Consumer class, where we are to post as many remembrances as we want. I am now 17 years old and a lot of people in this war including you were close to my age when you gave your supreme sacrifice. You fought for our country and for what you believed in and I want to thank you for giving your ultimate sacrifice. I would be scared to death to do what you men and women did, as I’m sure you were.
