honoring you....
A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You
Dear Lcpl Larry Taylor, Thank you for your service as a Combat Engineer. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Independence Day weekend. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it still needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My father was with Larry and has lived with the memory of that day for 55 years
My father and 3 other marines went out on a mine sweep early in the morning on August 30, 1966. Larry was driving and my father was in the passenger seat. Two marines were out in the distance ahead of their vehicle mine sweeping, preparing the road for tanks to pass through. My father, Tim, was about to tell Larry to be vigilant because there were no children in the area. Tim was never able to get that thought out to Larry because immediately they were fired upon. Tim was shot multiple times in the back and the velocity of the bullets carried him out of their vehicle and into the path of the vehicle which ran him over with the front, and his body stopped the vehicle by contacting the rear tires.
