The Madora Army
When we were childhood friends we attended Melvin Ave. Elementry School, Sutter Jr. High School and Cleveland High School. I remember when in Sutter, we couldn't wait for school to get out so we could round up the thirty or so friends we had and play Army in the local corn field down near your house. Those were the greatest of days and my remebrance of you shines brightly in my heart. I always used to tell you when we were playing Army to keep your head down and don't take chances, seemed that you always were killed in the beginning of our pretend wars. Oh if only I could turn the clock back. I miss you my friend and will meet you again in Heaven. I too served in Vietnam so I know what you went through. I live it every night I go to bed. I miss you, until tomorrow. Your friend always Jim Born
