This day in 1973, Gary died result of wounds suffered on 19 Dec 72, while on board the USS GOLDSBOROUGH, WHICH WAS PROVIDING GUN SUPPORT IN HAIPHONG HARBOR, NORTH VIETNAM. AN ONSHORE BATTERY ROUND HIT THE SHIP. REST IN PEACE GARY!!
