God bless you Richard Swiger

I remember Richard when we lived in Adamston. We all went to the Adamston EUB church as kids. I always loved his red hair.
His parents were so nice & I can remember when we heard of his death, we kids were devastated.
He was a good kid, always smiling & his parents were so proud of him.

We all lost touch with a lot of our Adamston kids but I never forgot the sacrifice he made to our country. I know Heaven was happy to see you but we were just as sad to see you go. Thank you Richard, forever in our hearts.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SSGT Richard Jackson Swiger, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, Sir

Curt Carter
