Remembering An American Hero

Dear LTC Bryan James Sutton, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

A FINE MAN, LEADER AND SOLIDER

I was Lt. Col. Sutton's radio operator in 1966-1967 when he was in charge of E Troop 17th Calvary Recon. He was the most courageous man I have ever met. His main concern was always his men and he Never asked us to do anything that he didn't do himself. He always stayed on the Frontline and if one of the men got wounded he was right there to aid assistance no matter the situation.
During his command the unit won the VALOROUS UNIT AWARD which is like every member of the Troop receiving the Silver Star. A major accomplishment.
I was a very young 18 year old when I served as his RTO and he treated me almost like his son. I'm now 65 and I still morn the loss of this Great Man and Great Solider! Thank You For Your Contributions To All Our Lives!
