Bracelet

I wore the POW bracelet for a long time and am reading a book about the war and the protests it made me think of him. I am sad but glad his family has closure .

POW Bracelet

Sadly, my bracelet is long gone, but I have never forgotten Captain (then CMDR) Bowling. Captain Bowling and his family sacrificed so much for this country. I have kept them all in my thoughts for these many years.

Remembrance of those who served

I was digging thru jewelry today w my daughter. It’s her bday and we were looking for something when I came across my CDR Roy Bowling bracelet. I got it when I was just 6 years old……almost 40 years ago. I wondered who this was? I had never researched it but wore this bracelet to honor him throughout my school age years. I’ve often thought of what this bracelet meant and symbolized. So glad so many have honored him the same. I tried to find the family but glad to see several have offered their bracelets to them. Wish I had some of my military families memorabilia. How generous. Thank you for your service sir.
