Thank You

Dear Sp4 Norman Strength, Thank you for your service as an Armor Reconnaissance Specialist. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Memorial Day weekend , and we honor you. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My Uncle Butch

I barely remember my uncle Butch. I only have three memories. One is quite funny. Coming back from the dentist, my mother - his sister- was driving. My brother must have gotten some good juice from the dentist as he, while only around 4, was trying to climb out of the back window. By the time I could tell mom and uncle Butch, my brother is half hanging out if the car. Uncle Butch, seemly with one hand reaches outside his front passenger side window and grabs my brother and brings him back into the front seat. My brother has no memory but I do.

My last memory of seeing him, he was visiting us and on the coach was talking with my brother and I. I was only five but I was so happy that one of my uncles took time to have a conversation with us. Of course, I was talking about Batman.

Blessings to all in our Lord.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear SP4 Norman Howard Strength, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
