Ground Casualty

SSG Sam E. Stout was a Food Service Specialist serving with the 56th Army Postal Unit, Long Binh Post, Army Support Command Saigon, 1st Logistical Command, U.S. Army, Republic of Vietnam. On August 19, 1970, SSG Stout became ill and was admitted to the 24th Evacuation Hospital at Long Binh in Bien Hoa Province, RVN. He died four days later, reportedly from a heart attack.
