A brave loyal man and great American

I have read many articles about Mr Storz and would just like to say thank you for your sacrifice. I was only born in 1975 so obviously have only read of him but if it weren't for great men like Mr. Storz our country would not be what it is.

Thank you Mr. Storz and God Bless your family.

Mike Conway.

I Do Not Choose To Be A Common Man

I still have your favorite saying hanging in my front hall. It follows: It is my right to be uncommon...if I can. I see opportunity...not security. I do not wish to be a kept citizen, humbled and dulled by having the state look after me. I want to take the calculated risk; to dream and to build, to fail and to suceed. I refuse to barter incentive for a dole. I prefer the challenges of life to the guaranteed existence; the thrill of fullfilment to the stale calm of utopia. I will not trade freedom for beneficence nor my dignity for a handout. I will never cower before any master nor bend to any threat. It is mt heritage to stand erect. proud and unafraid; to think and act for myself; enjoy the benefits of my creations and to face the world boldly and say, This I have done. All this is what it means to be an American. Ron and I are fisrt generation Americans. Our father was SO Proud of him. I miss you, my best friend.

Remembering an American Hero

Dear LTC Ronald Edward Storz, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say 'thank you'; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter

Remembering Ron

Due to the 'luck of the draw', I was fortunate to have had Ron as my only cellmate for six months, & with two others, for the next seven months. During that time we became as 'brothers'.

I found Ron to be a very clever & courageous leader who constantly placed himself in danger to help his fellow POWs in any way possible! He was a very creative & effective communicator who caused the enemy a lot of grief, & who resisted them at every turn!

Ron was easily one of the most patriotic, dedicated, & loyal Americans that I have ever known! He loved his country, & served it with honor. A true American hero who made the ultimate sacrifice! I am honored to have known him.
