Rembering PVT. Story
When I saw this name I wondered if this man was somehow apart of my family tree. When I saw the picture I immediately was drawn to the man on the right, definitely looks like the story men in my family!

Remembering An American Hero
Dear PVT James Clellon Story, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter

Ground Casualty
On June 13, 1969, PVT James C. Story was the driver of a two and one-half ton truck carrying artillery projectiles in a convoy that was ambushed in the Pleiku area of South Vietnam. Other members of the convoy saw his truck completely disintegrate when the load he was carrying had a sympathetic detonation when hit by rocket or mortar fire. A search party located only pieces of the wreckage, but they could find nothing that resembled human remains. It is assumed that Story disintegrated in the massive explosion. PVT James C. Story was classified as Killed in Action/Body Not Recovered. [Taken from pownetwork.org]
