John and I trained together at P.I. and later at Infantry Training Regiment, Camp LeJeune, N.C. Our paths crossed years later in Vietnam. John Stockman was a MARINE to his very core. It was my honor to be his friend and fellow MARINE.
He will always be remembered. SEMPER FIDELIS !

Thank You
Dear Cpl John Stockman, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 47th anniversary of the last battle of the war just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Do Not Stand at my Grave and Weep
On this anniversary of your death thanks for your service to our country sir. I hope this poem gives some small measure of solace to those who knew you..........................Do not stand at my grave and weep
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.
