Dear Lcpl Jerry Stenberg, Thank you for your service as a Field Artillery Crewman. I researched you on your 75th birthday, happy birthday. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. The 47th anniversary of the official end of the war just passed. Time passes quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Klamath Falls OR...Born April 29, 1947, in Klamath Falls, Jerry Stenberg graduated from Henley High School and attended Bend Junior College. He was employed by the Oregon Bureau of Land Management prior to his enlistment with the Marines on May 16, 1966.
Stenberg started his tour of duty in Vietnam on June 27, 1967. He was serving with C Battery, 13th Marines, 5th Marine Division at the time of his death from mortar fire. He was 20 at the time of his death. Stenberg was survived by his parents, Mr. and Mrs. Oscar Stenberg, a brother and a sister. He was awarded the Military Merit Medal and Gallantry Cross with Palm.
