Jeffrey Bouton was born in Illinois and moved with his parents, Robert and Marjorie Bouton, to Florida in 1962 where he graduated from Seminole High School. Growing up, Jeffrey was a member of the Boy Scouts and Sea Explorers. He served as a Navy Hospital Corpsman with the 1st Marine Division in Vietnam where he cared for Vietnamese civilians as well as Marines. Although only in Vietnam for 27 days before he was killed by an explosive device, Jeffrey had written to his parents about his concern for the Vietnamese people, especially the children. Jeffrey is buried near his parents at Serenity Garden Memorial Park in Largo, Florida.
