Missing you

Uncle Gary, I finally made it to DC and found your name on the wall. Even though I never got to meet you, I think of you often and wonder how my life would be different. It was a special day because your great nephew Ashton is leaving for Turkey tomorrow for a year so it was great to have this experience with him. He will be in Turkey for 1 year and then stationed in Italy. Zach is stationed in Florida and William lives in Grand Rapids. We love you and hope you are taking good care of grandpa and grandma

honoring you....

Thank you for your service to our country so long ago sir. The remembrance from your brother David is especially poignant. As long as you are remembered you will always be with us....

Remembered

DEAR SPEC 4 BOUGHNER,
THANKS FOR YOUR SERVICE AS AN AIRBORNE QUALIFIED INFANTRYMAN. SUNDAY WAS THE 42ND ANNIVERSARY OF PRESIDENT FORD CALLING THIS DAY THE OFFICIAL END TO THE WAR. IF IT WAS ONLY THAT EASY. I AM SO SORRY. IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU. MAY THE ANGELS BE AT YOUR SIDE. REST IN PEACE. YOU ARE ALL IN OUR PRAYERS.

God Bless

Uncle Gary, I never got to meet you but will someday for sure. I just want to say Thank You for your service and let you know that I am very proud of you and what you did for us. You have three handsome Great nephews and 1 Great Great nephew. My Dad often talked about you growing up and I often wondered what you would have been like as an Uncle. If you are anything like my dad and your brothers and sisters then it would have been great. Keep smiling down on us and say high to Grandpa for me. Love you and miss you.

Your Niece - Sandy
