I'll never forget!

It's been a long time since I have posted! I just want to let everyone know that we never forget. There is not a day that goes by that I don't think of Vietnam and remember you! It's hard to remember the exact time we met, but my guess is late June or early July of 1968. You were taken from us a few months later.

A belated remembrance of a Cousin

I am writing this 50 plus years (8/2024) after my cousin Gerald lost his life at the hands of a sniper in Vietnam! I remember all the service men coming to our small Kansas town to play taps at the funeral & him laying in an open casket & all the tears & tragic loss everyone in the family & town felt at losing such a young promising kid, only 20 yrs old!! A life ended way too soon & such a tragic war. Visiting Washington DC for the first time & was so honored to find his name, picture & engraved name on the Vietnam granite wall Memorial, one of thousands.
You are not forgotten Cousin Gerald. RIP

Still Thinking of You!

It's already moving on to close to 54 years since you died in the service of this great country! I think about you a lot. It is an honor to have known and served with you! The short time we spent together is valued. I remember things we talked about and did! I am sure we will meet again as time is closing in on all of us who served In Vietnam.
