Burial Information

CAPT George Ross Spitz is buried in a group grave in Section 34, Site 4402 of the Arlington National Cemetery. He is buried along with 1LT Robert Bernhardt, CAPT Arthur Bollinger, SGT Dale Brandenburg, SGT Peter Cressman, SGT Joseph Matejov, SSGT Todd Melton, and 1LT Severo Primm III.

Their sacrifices are not forgotten.

As a kid......

George, my dad was in Vietnam. When I was 15 we went to DC. i bought a bracelet for MIA and POW. I got yours. Never have i forgotten you. Iwas hoping you would be found and I could visit you. I hope yoi are at peace. I love you for what you stood for. RIP my friend. I have never forgotten you and im 45!

Former MIA Capt. George R. Spitz, USMAPS 1962, USAFA 1966 - - ABMC (HONOLULU MEMORIAL)

Former MIA Captain George Ross Spitz, U.S. Military Academy Preparatory School Class of 1962, U.S. Air Force Academy Class of 1966, has his name chiseled into one of the stone "Courts of the Missing" (Vietnam War Section, Court "A" (Air Force)) at the Honolulu Memorial in the National Memorial Cemetery of the Pacific (the "Punchbowl") on the island of Oahu in the state of Hawaii.
