THE WALL OF FACES

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Dear Lcpl Robert Spires, Thank you for your service as a Rifleman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Easter, and Passover. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I played football with Robert in Fitzgerald, Georgia. He was as tough as they come, but he was never a bully. Just a solid, good guy. God bless.

I remember Robert from the time he arrived until that day in Quang Ngai...Operation De Soto....he was known by every Marine in the company as solid as they came....
