honoring you.....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Jerry Spears, Thank you for your service as an Airborne Qualified Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Easter, and Passover . Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Brother, 173rd Airborne Brigade

My name is Rick Grantham. I lived at Bragg City and knew Jerry. When Jerry was home on leave before going to Vietnam he picked me up as I was hitchhiking to Kennett one day and he told me he was leaving for Vietnam in a few days. We heard that he had been killed just a short time later. A strange coincidence... I joined the Army in August of '69 and went to Vietnam in 1970. I served with E/2/503rd Infantry, Recon of the 173rd Airborne Brigade. Same unit as Jerry!

In rememberance

My sister was good friends with Jerry’s sister. I went to the same school . His mother was the high school librarian. Jerry was a fun guy and loved his country. Thank you for your service.
