Dear PO3C Richard Spaulding, Thank you for your service as a Hospital Corpsman 3rd Class with the 26th Marines, Semper Fi. Thank you for the lives you saved. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Happy Easter, and Passover . Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

You and HM Butsko were killed in the same area and weeklong battle.

Richard, I am your cousin Michael, first born of your uncle Mickey. All though we never met I wanted to say thank you for your service and sacrifice and pass a Semper Fi. We have much in common as Vietnam vets, although my service was several years after yours. (USAF 1971-1995). I will make it a point my next visit to see dad to drop by and introduce myself to you. He's at Ft. Logan as well. Rest in peace. I look forward to our next meeting brother.

I SERVED WITH 3RD PLT "I" CO. 3RD BN 26TH MARINES ALONGSIDE "DOC" SPAULDING. WE SPENT LOTS OF TIME ON VARIOUS HILLS AROUND KHE SANH SUMMER 67. I WAS HONORED TO SERVE WITH "DOC". GREAT MAN WHO COULD BE DEPENDED ON TO BE IN THE TRENCHES OR TAKING A HILL. SEMPER FI DOC
