Remembering Bill Soule
Bill and I were in the same four-person team in 1967. Our platoon occupied a low hill near the village of Dai Loc. on the morning of May 7, 1967, we patrolled through a nearby village. Bill tripped a land mine and was wounded. I called the closest Navy Hospital Corpsman, who was with Mike Company. He came and treated Bill until a helicopter evacuation was completed. When we returned to our hill, I was sent to Đã Nang Airport to return to California.

honoring you.....
War drew us from our homeland
In the sunlit springtime of our youth.
Those who did not come back alive remain
in perpetual springtime -- forever young --
And a part of them is with us always.

And a part of them is with us always.

Thank You
Dear Lcpl William Soule, Thank you for your service as a Field Radio Operator. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. It is Holy Week, and Passover is soon, too. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

I KNEW BILLY ...
We went to high school and church together ... his older brother was in my H/S class and Billy was 2 years behind.
He was a REALLY good kid with a good attitude and a heart that wanted to serve others. So many lost "good boys" ... so much potential. I still get tears in my eyes when I see things like this ...
SEMPER FI, BILLY !!
