Kilo 3/4

My uncle CPL Ferg Carroll was KIA on 6/18/1968 on Hill 689 Phoui Noui in Quang Tri near Khe Sanh. He was in K/3/4 since October 67. Before that he was in A/1/6. It is probably a long shot but does anyone in his company have more details on what happned that day or the time leading up to it?

I attached a link to the 3rd Bn 4th Marines Facebook page. I posted all of the pictures Ferg sent home. I have no names for anyone in the pictures besides Ferg himself. Maybe someone on here can help identify some of them and the stories behind them. If anyone has more pictures of Ferg or just general pictures of his company please send them to me.

Remembering An American Hero

Dear LCPL James Larry Bosheers, sir

As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.

May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.

With respect, and the best salute a civilian can muster for you, Sir

Curt Carter
