Terry, I think of you often and how you helped a boot like me settle in on 881. Talked with Ray Lewis a few weeks back and he brought your name up. You had a positive effect on a lot of us. Resi In Peace brother.

Dear Cpl Terry Smith, Thank you for your service as a Radio Telegraph Operator. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Spring has begun, and it's Lent. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

Just read about LCPL Terry Smith in the book, "Ambush Valley." He was quite the Marine. His exploits from 9/7/1967 to 9/10/67 kept a large number of soldiers from dying.

I don't know why, but I have been thinking about you all day and about exchanging letters with your parents quite a while back. I also talked with the Skipper about you sometime back as well. He remembered you well and fondly.
