Dear Sp4 Johnny Smith, Thank you for your service as a Communications Center Specialist. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Spring has begun, and it's Lent. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

During a "clandestine, spontaneous happening" at the CPT Rocky Versace Plaza and Vietnam Veterans Memorial on Memorial Day 2020, the "Friends of Rocky Versace" remembered SP4 Johnny Jerome Smith, U.S. Army, as well as Alexandria's 67 other Vietnam War Fallen Heroes. SP4 Johnny J. Smith was a Communications Center Specialist serving with the 661st General Support Company. On May 20, 1970, SP4 Smith died in Quang Tin Province, RVN, reportedly from hepatitis. He was 20 years-old. [Taken from coffeltdatabase.org]
