On Silver wings

On Silver Wings
They Flew The Skies
These Brave Young Men
Who Fought And Died
When Duty Called
They went So Brave
Now families Mourn
Beside Their Grave
Who Can Forget
What Courage They Had
Some Have,Some Did
And That's So Sad

Do not stand at my grave and weep

Do not stand at my grave and weep.
I am not there; I do not sleep.
I am a thousand winds that blow,
I am the diamond glints on snow,
I am the sun on ripened grain,
I am the gentle autumn rain.
When you awaken in the morning's hush
I am the swift uplifting rush
Of quiet birds in circled flight.
I am the soft stars that shine at night.
Do not stand at my grave and cry,
I am not there; I did not die.

What was my life before Maj. Harold V. Smith?

It would be hard to answer that....I received the bracelet when I was in 6th grade, from Ed McMahon! (yes, johnny carson's side kick) No one else had one, and i was proud to explain my reason for wearing it. I have prayed every single night and day for him and his family, searched the internet (praise God for the internet) and have made a few break throughs. I wore this bracelet up until recently when it finally broke in two, but during this time; I was a young girl who became a young lady, a graduate, a bride, a mother, a divorcee, and many other things(s) both good and maybe not so good! LOL, but all the while, Harold was with me! Could he be my guardian angel, I like to think so! Of course, I have tears in my eyes just writing this. Anyone interested in chatting with me, please don't hesitate....I would love to meet his family, I feel my life will not be complete until then. Thank you for reading this! Dorothy

Remebering now

I to have Col.Smiths POW braclet.Sooooo many years ago it seems.I had nearly forgotten about it until today(3/20/03)My nephew is sitting now in the Persian Gulf. He,like, Col.Smith has gone off to fight for his country in a war that not all American support. Today,I pray for Col.Smith and all the others who have passed on.Those accounted for, and those still Missing In Action. I pray too for my nephew and all the other men and women in uniform that they come home safely.
Someday maybe we will all live in perfect harmony. Until then GOD BLESS OUR TROOPS!!!!!
