Great American Soldier

You were my crew chief but you owned the gun ship that I got to fly. You were one hell of a soldier in a very difficult war, the best crew chief and an artist with your M-60. We never had a gun jam, a rocket misfire or an issue with the aircraft.

I was not there to say good bye the day that all aboard perished but I have remembered you, been thankful for you and mourned your passing ever since. You had two weeks left on your tour. When I hear Taps, I salute you. I regret it took so long to find you.

May your eternal tour be peaceful and may God continue to bless you.

IT HAS BEEN FAR TOO LONG FOR ALL OF YOU TO HAVE BEEN GONE. WE APPRECIATE ALL YOU HAVE DONE, AND YOUR SACRIFICE. WATCH OVER THE U.S.A., IT STILL NEEDS YOUR COURAGE. GOD BLESS YOU.
