Dave, I remember when you went into the Marines and my brother Bill was your DI- You and I sent many letters and I'll never forget how you wanted to come home and become a state trooper-
I thank you for your service and ultimate sacrifice; you are never forgotten, dear friend!

This Marine was an older foster brother when he was KIA on 9/5/69. I was only 9 years old at the time, was never able to get to know him, but i was at his funeral a few weeks later, i remember it very vivdly. I followed him exactly 10 years to the month later and earned the title myself. Semper Fi and RIP David, your bravery and sacrifice will never be forgotten.
