honoring you....

A butterfly lights beside us like a sunbeam
And for a brief moment its glory
and beauty belong to our world
But then it flies again
And though we wish it could have stayed...
We feel lucky to have seen it.

Thank You

Dear Cpl Robert Small, Thank you for your service as an Infantryman. Saying thank you isn't enough, but it is from the heart. Winter will end soon, and Lent has begun. Time moves quickly. Please watch over America, it stills needs your strength, courage, guidance and faithfulness, especially now. Rest in peace with the angels.

My childhood friend Bobby was awarded the Bronze Star posthumously for bravery in Viet Nam

He faced them with courage never batting an eye as a tear slid down a bloody cheek and grief filled his heart , while his mind wondered why ?
He smiled at his family , his friends , and himself then brushed from his cheek that single drop of disconsolation and smiled once again, then carefully replaced his heart upon its refulgent shelf.
Brotherhood lay stricken in this manmade hell and once more remorse and fury reflected on his face as he leapt to their aid , to his comrades who fell
While running through hell a new life was born and expired that very day his eyes shutting out that last bit of hate as he fell to the earth a body now torn.
