In honor of Major Sittner
As we approach the 87th anniversary of the birth of Major Sittner, his memory continues to be honored. In addition to this website, The Wall of Faces, there are at least five others which recall his life and lamentable death in service to the people of the United States of America:
Defense POW/MIA Accounting Agency

Honor States dot org

Also, Ancestry dot com and other genealogical websites contain family history pertaining to Major Sittner. If anyone knows of a full write-up of his life, I would very much appreciate it if they would post it as "a remembrance" here, or cite it.

Remember to save for them a place inside of you, and save one backward glance when you are leaving, for the places they can no longer go...

Ron Sittner
I was a 22 year old returning USAF verteran from four year commitment, and enrolled at Kent State University. Rented a room on Crain Ave. in Kent in September, 1956 with another AF vet from Warren... Ron was in the same house, had a hard top convertible and peeled tires....drove fast. He left school early, went to flight school and I lost touch
until I read that his remains had been found. Recall that he had a sister in Cleveland.
