PFC Max Coleman Simpson served with the 155th Transport Company, 10th Transport Battalion, 124th Transport Command, Army Support Command Cam Ranh Bay, 1st Logistics Command, United States Army Vietnam (Coffelt database).

He drowned at the Special Services Beach in Cam Ranh Bay and his body was not recovered.
