A long time ago, but still remembered.
I remember your last visit home before you left for Vietnam. I remember the letters we exchanged, your reports on the war. I also remember the day we got the terrible news. All these years later, I still miss you. I always will.

Paul,
On the anniversary of your death, I wanted to leave a short note to let you know that you have not been forgotten. I spoke with our sister Joan today to wish her a Happy Birthday. She thinks of you often as well. Thank you for sacrifice. Hopefully Dad, Mom, Bob, and now Joe, and you are all together and looking down on us!
Semper Fidelis,
Your Brother Mike

Remembering An American Hero
Dear CPL Paul Edward Albano, sir
As an American, I would like to thank you for your service and for your sacrifice made on behalf of our wonderful country. The youth of today could gain much by learning of heroes such as yourself, men and women whose courage and heart can never be questioned.
May God allow you to read this, and may He allow me to someday shake your hand when I get to Heaven to personally thank you. May he also allow my father to find you and shake your hand now to say thank you; for America, and for those who love you.
With respect, Sir
Curt Carter
