Forever A Point Man
Richard "Siggy" Sigworth was the point man and tunnel rat for my infantry platoon in C Troop 7/17 Cavalry. He was shot while rescuing our Vietnamese Kit Carson scout who lay wounded in the mouth of an enemy occupies cave. Siggy was brave, selfless, and a true hero. He always regarded others more than himself and would put himself between them and danger. He was, and is, a true American fighting man.
